Position Available: Business Operations Manager

Job Description: Business Operations Manager will lead the planning and organization of the daily activities at Woodwrights, Inc. Responsible for overseeing the Engineering, Project Management, and Shop departments, as they relate to production of custom millwork for our clients.


Job duties Include, but not limited to :

Participate on Leadership team.

Participate in marketing effort.

Maintain /build customer relations.

Assist in the development/maintenance of physical property.

Monitor the financial health of company, and actively participate in finding solutions to any problems that arise.

Model professional behavior and attitude.

Review and understanding of financials including GL, AP, AR, and payroll.

Assist in the preparation and management of company budget.

Manage hiring of staff employees.

Manage the production schedule in conjunction with the Department heads.

Manage inventory and purchasing sans Capital expenditures.

Manage employee relations for operations.

Manage Employee performance.

Manage staff schedule.

Manage quality assurance program and compliance to our current procedure.

Development of internal procedures as they apply to production of products and operations management.

Expedites effective interdepartmental communication.

Manage, communicate, and analyze job budgets with project managers.

Model professional behavior and attitude.


Experience and Skill:

Must thrive working in a fast-paced, innovative environment while remaining flexible, proactive, positive, resourceful and efficient.  Strong project and team management skills required. Ability to analyze complex issues in terms of understanding important details, while also seeing how parts integrate with one another.  High value placed on ability to develop and implement relevant and realistic plans, programs and recommendations. Must be able to translate strategy into action while energizing stakeholders.  Demonstrate excellent analytical skills and an ability to communicate complex issues clearly. Ability to forecast potential problems and develop solutions that resolve issues and mitigate risks. Understand the responsibilities and commitments to the clients we serve. Millwork industry experience is required. 

 B.A or B.S.

 Minimum of 7 years involving project management, workflow processes, people management, facilities planning and development, contract negotiation.

 Ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of a diverse workforce.

 Ability to innovate and lead change.

 Experience working with all levels of management.

 Strong team player that has a customer service approach and is solution oriented.

 Attention to detail and the ability to work individually, as well as with external partners and vendors.

 Strong written and verbal communication skills.
